Do This: Put This Oil On Your Wrist to Soothe Carpal Tunnel Pain In 4 Weeks or Less

Those of you, who know all too well what carpal tunnel syndrome is, should certainly read this helpful article. It will help you to get rid of the pain in 4 weeks or less.

If you have the syndrome, chances are your wrists are in pain right now, or at least they feel numb, or tingly, or the pain is ‘radiating up’ your entire arm, driving you crazy! It can depend on the day though, but it is never pleasant, right?

When you were in pains, you have probably tried just about everything to cope with the pain. A little help is to set up your working position more ergonomically than it is right now. Start taking longer rests and do dynamic stretches whenever you can. Another good solution is to wear a splint at night.

But the flaxseed oil you simply must try out!

No matter what you call it – the flaxseed oil or the linseed oil – it is oil that works. The Tehran University of Medical Studies has recently published a research which discloses that, the flaxseed oil, when applied directly to your painful wrists, can relieve the pain and help you regain some mobility.

This is how they did the study: a group of 100 participants with strong carpal pains was split into 2 groups. The first group was given a placebo oil to use while the other one was given linseed oil. They were instructed to simply rub the flaxseed oil on their wrists every day for a month, and to wear a wrist splint at night. Both groups were given a function assessment and asked to fill out a Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire at the end of the month.

The result was this:

The group who used the flaxseed oil reported a significant drop in their pains and a great improvement in the mobility of their wrists. They said it was the best oil for ‘oiling’ their wrist bones.

Why the flaxseed oil worked

The researchers think that the flaxseed oil proved so effective because of all the nutrients it contains. This oil is full of omega-3 fatty acids in particular, which are good at relieving inflammation. Almost half of the flaxseed oil content is fatty acid. The other half is good too – it contains proteins, B-vitamins, and antioxidants. It is a great source of a special antioxidant called lignin, which also fights inflammation.

Because the skin soaks up these beneficial compounds, and quickly transports them to the carpal bones in your wrist, it is not surprising that applying some oil directly to your wrist can help relieve (if not rid) the pain. Of course, it is all also worth taking a spoonful of the oil with your dinner, which has the added benefits of helping prevent some chronic conditions, diabetes, heart disease, and dementia.

Some other foods or things worth trying

You can read about some other food worth trying such as spinach and salmon. Some useful physician advices include taking regular breaks from work to move around and stretch. You can also try to avoid repetitive tasks if possible at all (depending on your job duties, sometimes it just isn’t, right?). A massage therapy is another option for eliminating your pain as well.
